Registration Refunds Schedule & Staff Weather & Conduct Liability

Registration

  • Registrations are processed on a first-come, first served basis and in the order in which they are received
  • Full payment is required at time of registration
  • All class confirmations will be sent via email to students upon completion of registration
  • Classes not meeting minimum enrollment will be cancelled one week prior to start date
  • Full payment required even when enrolling after the first class session
  • Montclair Film reserves the right to refuse admission or dismiss students for inappropriate, discriminatory, or disrespectful behavior

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be provided in the event that a class or workshop does not meet minimum enrollment and is canceled. All other refunds are subject to a nonrefundable $25 administrative fee. Tuition will be refunded if notice of withdrawal is provided at least 30 DAYS prior to start date of the camp session from which you are withdrawing. If notice of withdrawal is given less than 30 DAYS prior to the start date of the camp from which you are withdrawing, you will receive a 50% refund, less the $25 administrative fee. No refunds will be given within a week or after the start date of the session for which you are enrolled.

Instructor & Schedule Changes

Substitutions

Montclair Film reserves the right to use substitute instructors of equal experience when necessary.

Make-up Classes

If Montclair Film cancels a class due to instructor absence, a make-up session will be scheduled at the end of the term. Student-led absences are not eligible for make-ups or refunds.

Weather & Conduct

We follow Montclair Public School closures

If Montclair Public Schools are closed due to weather conditions, all Montclair Film classes are automatically cancelled. Make-up sessions will be scheduled when possible.

Student Conduct

Students are expected to maintain respectful behavior toward instructors and fellow participants. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the class without refund.

Photography Notice

Montclair Film may, on occasion, document classes and student work using photography and video for promotional purposes. If you do not want yourself or your child photographed, please notify Montclair Film.

Liability & Safety

Student Injury

Students assume all risk of participation in any and all classes, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.

Lost or Damaged Property

Montclair Film is not responsible for any property that is left on the premises, and has no responsibility if such property is damaged or stolen.

Equipment Use

Students are responsible for the proper care of any equipment provided. Damage due to misuse may result in replacement costs.

Montclair Film provides scholarships for students who qualify for financial aid.
