The Bellevue

Montclair Film Continues to Grow

From our beginning as the Montclair Film Festival in 2012, Montclair Film has worked tirelessly to build and sustain vital cultural experiences in our community.

Continuing to build on this vision, we were thrilled to reopen The Bellevue Theatre in Upper Montclair in October 2025.

Continuing to build on this vision, we were thrilled to reopen The Bellevue Theatre in Upper Montclair in October 2025.

Opening as a silent film theater on May 13, 1922, The Bellevue has long been a community hub.

“Our community has been clear in sharing their desire to see The Bellevue Theatre thriving again as a place where neighbors can gather to experience the magic of film together.”

— Evelyn McGee Colbert, President Emeritus

“The Bellevue will be a place for cultural, enriching, and joyful experiences that bring our community together through the power of storytelling.

— Wendy Lacey, Cornerstone Montclair
